--- title: | Don Carbarns description: Don is a chartered electrical engineer with over twenty-five years of electrical engineering experience across a number of different industries. He has been a practicing electrical engineer since graduating from the University of Natal in Durban, South Africa in 1979. During this period, he has worked in engineering and management positions in a number of organisations in South Africa, the UK and Australia. Don joined Power Control Engineers (PCE) in 2010 as a lead Electrical engineer. For eight years prior to this, he was employed by WorleyParsons in Newcastle as a senior electrical engineer. Most of this period was spent at the Hunter’s two Aluminium smelters, first at Tomago and then at Hydro Aluminium.
